The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy: Catching the Dreams of Tomorrow, focuses on girls ages 11-14, with the primary focus on increasing academic success and self-esteem, while understanding their roles as young women in their communities.
Delta GEMS
Delta Gems (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) was created as a natural outgrowth and continuation of the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy primarily for African American girls ages 14-18. The goal of the program is to offer a road map for college and career planning through activities that provide opportunities for self-reflection and individual growth.
Project D.S.T.
Project D.S.T. (Development, Service, and Training) was created for boy and girls ages 5-11 with a focus on S.T.E.M. plus Art and Design. Participants are encouraged to explore these fields through hands-on activities and field experiences.
